How we look after your information
IHTgifts helps executors check bank statements for gifts. These are the promises we make about the information you give us.
Processed in line with UK GDPREncrypted and held in the UK. Only you can see your transactions.
Account details never storedAddresses, sort codes and account numbers in statements are removed as they’re read.
Statements deleted within 5 minutesDeleted within 5 minutes of processing.
Delete everything when you’re doneWe keep dates, amounts and who was paid until you delete them.
How long we keep your information
Delete everything at any timeYou can delete one person’s estate from their details page, or your whole account from your account page. We delete it straight away and email you a receipt.
Deleted after 13 months without useIf nobody uses an estate for 12 months, we’ll email you. If you don’t log in within the next month, we delete everything about it. An account with no one’s estate in it is deleted the same way.
Backups kept for 7 daysOur database is backed up every day and each backup is kept for 7 days. Anything you delete is gone from IHTgifts at once, and from our backups within 7 days as old backups are replaced.
